HealthLight’s red and infrared diodes cause an increase in local circulation as measured by a Scanning Laser Doppler manufactured by Moor Instruments. Brighter colors indicate increased circulation. The images below were obtained on the feet of 4 individuals. As expected, each person has a baseline blood flow (circulation) which is unique and thus the magnitude of their response to light therapy is also unique. Age, disease status, exercise status and weight, are among variables that determine baseline flow. These four individuals demonstrate different baseline blood flows and EACH had an increase in blood flow following HealthLight treatment.
The first pair of images shows the effect of a standard heating pad that can burn the skin (left side) compared to pretreatment, baseline blood flow (right side).
This next pair of images show the increases in local blood flow using HealthLight's Irvisium superflux diodes for 20 min in the same individual, patient A, (left side) compared to baseline blood flow (right side). Unlike heating pads, HealthLight does not cause possible thermal injury.

The follow 3 pairs of images show pre treatment baseline on the left and post treatment on the right using the HealthLight standard boot device for 20 minutes.
